Each moment of each day your nervous system is on the look-out for you. It’s job is to keep you safe and it will do whatever it needs to protect you from harm…. however, external and environmental factors — trauma, stress, sub-optimal body alignment, can mean that your nervous system is often dis-regulated. When your nervous system gets stuck, what happens? Depression, apathy, rage, foggy brain, bad digestion, inability to experience pleasure… the list is LONG.
This workshop is a blend of Forrest Yoga, basic anatomy of nervous system function.
Together we’ll explore how the nervous system functions, the symptoms to look out for when you’re dis-regulated and importantly HOW to get back to homeostasis — An active, alert or calm state.
You’ll enjoy a nervous-system-soothing Forrest Yoga class and learn how Forrest Yoga is an excellent tool for regulating your nervous system.
There maybe times in this workshop where you would like to take notes, feel free to bring whatever you need to do that.
***All levels of practitioners welcome, including those with injuries, those in pain, those who are pregnant or postpartum.***
